Free jazz troupe SeFa LoCo is back, as a quintet, with reed/woodwind master Vinny Golia. Saxophonist Bret Sexton and guitarist Farrell Lowe are longtime contributors to the Denver-Boulder experimental music community. Bill McCrossen is an incredibly versatile bassist, and new to the ensemble on this album. Percussionist and composer Ron Coulter, who curated the Creative Music Series that spawned the SeFa LoCo sessions, has toured three continents, recorded and released dozens of albums over the past two decades. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Golia has toured the world with his own large ensemble and many other artists. He was named one of the 100 most influential artists in jazz history by Jazziz magazine. Together, SeFa LoCo forges a rare chemistry that transcends its members' varied backgrounds and experiences.
