Album Description

Pianist/composer Nicholas Bridgman’s all-original contemporary jazz album, Blue Horizon, came together during the pandemic. Bridgman was unable to play live shows, so he went on the online jamming site, Jamkazam, and met band members from around the U.S. Guitarist Craig Hall, bassist Dan Koloski, and drummer Jim O’Sullivan each took an interest in recording the project over the next year from their home studios. The result is an album that is fusion-influenced enough to please smooth jazz aficionados, yet with enough serious soloing, composing, and arranging to satisfy mainstream jazz lovers—and entertaining and accessible enough for those who do not ordinarily listen to jazz.
