Album Description
"Be Water, My Friend" is an ode to one of my idols, Bruce Lee and his infamous quote, resembling self reflection while encompassing the idea of "being water,” adapting to life obstacles that we each uniquely face. This album is composed of 10 original compositions. Each track, a dedication to someone important in my life, the far reaching spectrum of experiences, as well as pop culture references that have influenced me in some way. The first half of the album is Modern Jazz featuring Portland musicians in a more "acoustic" setting whereas the latter half is all high energy Groove/Jazz Hop vibes featuring a different set of Portland musicians in an "electric" setting. I have some featured artists on this record that are close friends or mentors to me who brought out the best in each song.”
