Album Description

The new album ⌜Arirang Cantata⌟ by jazz vocalist and singer-songwriter Young-Ae Jung, a graduate of Berklee College of Music! Young-Ae’s creative “Jazzy Korean traditional music” project Her 4th album ⌜Arirang Cantata⌟ was released to us as a harvest of passion after putting a lot of effort into planning and arranging since the fall of last year. All seven songs in the album are composed by Jung Young-Ae, and the harmonious sound of Korean and Western instruments is a fascinating fusion Korean music piece. This album shows the exquisite musical balance between East and West instruments by Korean traditional instruments such as Haegeum, Daegeum, Saeng Hwang, Geomungo, Janggu and Kkwaenggwari, and the jazz piano trio. Vocalist Young-Ae Jung is once again demonstrating her solid capabilities as a songwriter by releasing works that combine jazz and Korean traditional music by adding Korean melodies and lyrics to Western music rhythms such as Swing, Blues, Jazz Waltz, and Afro-Cuban.
