In "A Joyous Opus," I endeavored to establish my unique artistic voice, collaborating with the exceptionally talented drummer Stefan Klein and the melodically gifted bassist Stan Piper. This album debuts my ability to seamlessly blend classical and world music with the boundless creativity of jazz. It is a deeply personal project, drawing inspiration from the many joys and struggles I have faced throughout my life. My vision was to create a diverse, expressive, and artistic collection of compositions that resonate with a broad audience while exploring new frontiers. Each song is like a canvas, meant to convey a specific mood or idea, much akin to the style of impressionistic art. Sitting at the piano, I see myself as a painter, using my keys to craft an aural painting, adding vibrant colors and textures to the musical tapestry. Taking inspiration from the great impressionist painters, I seek to transcend conventional musical boundaries. By embracing influences from different cultures and musical traditions, I have created a captivating journey through a spectrum of emotions and atmospheres, embodying the transformative power of music.
