Album Description

Drummer and composer Dimitris Terpizis has released his new EP, 6211, a three-track project shaped by memory, movement, and place, blending modern jazz with episodic structures, lyrical storytelling, and rhythmic exploration.

6211 explores the idea of “portals” - moments in life that quietly open and lead us into new places. The tracks Portals and Places capture this sense of motion and transformation, while B50-1 is an intimate tribute to the apartment where much of the music was created, a hub for writing, gatherings, and shared moments that deeply influenced Dimitris’s artistic growth in the Netherlands.

Supported by the Henriëtte Hustinx Prijs Award, the EP was recorded prior to Dimitris’s move to the United States, capturing a distinct chapter of his artistic journey. He has performed across Europe and recently completed his Master’s in Performance at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, studying with Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Ben Street, and Adam Cruz. Now based in the U.S., he continues to develop a personal sound that blends modern jazz language with lived experience and global influences.

6211 is available on all major streaming platforms.
