My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it enables me to connect with people across the world and share our stories and views through the universal language of improvisation. As a person from Cyprus, I can explore and develop my identity through jazz, merge sounds and connect globally. I was first exposed to jazz while in middle school and instantly felt a connection never felt before. It was something magical that I knew I wanted to explore and find what it meant for me. After studying in the Netherlands, I completed my masters at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute under the guidance of maestro Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Ben Street, Adam Cruz and many inspirational and life changing mentors. I got to experience and learn from masters that contributed into what jazz is today. Got to explore many different mindsets and different ways of making music, something that always felt like my call in this world.
