Faris Ishaq

Born:

A World-Renowned Palestinian Nay Master, Global Jazz Flutist, and Composer. Known for his virtuosity of the ancient flutes “Nay” and an expectational artistry that enabled him to develop a unique instrumental setting, in which he plays the Nay Flute while accompanying himself on leg-percussion and frame drum simultaneously. In today's modern musical landscape, he is on a mission to unlock the maximum potential of the Nay. Jo Kaiat

Born:

Born in Nice in 1960, Jo Kaiat devotes himself to music, a territory whose limits are only those that man wants to give himself. His odyssey begins with jazz but, very quickly, the swing proves to be not enough to express all that is inside in him. He then turned to Bela Bartok, Olivier Messiaen, Stravinsky and the Impressionists. He spent his teenage years crunching chords in search of a mystery. At 18, he went to Paris. He stays there for five years, playing with Steve Potts, Oliver Johnson, Jean Jaques Avenel, Georges Brown, Jean Yves Colson, Jef Sicard… then he returned to Nice where he continued his musical activities with Barney Wilen, Bibi Rovere, Jack Sewing… With Jo Kaiat it is about travelling but travelling in depth, it is every time to try to make the tour of something

Ruud de Vries

Born:

Ruud de Vries is a jazz tenor saxophonist from the Netherlands, playing and recording many musical styles, though always recordings based on improvisation. When you look up his recordings on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon, or all other online music portals, you'll find traditional jazz, ballads, funk jazz, souljazz, latin jazz, afrobeat, calypso jazz, rhythm & blues, rock 'n roll, pop and 'DJ' dance music with sax improvisation. Ruud de Vries plays saxophone music without boundaries.

He bought his first saxophone when he was already 27 years old, after attending a performance of tenor saxophonist Hans Dulfer (the father of Candy Dulfer). He then knew he wanted to play the saxophone too. Not knowing anything about jazz and improvisation at that time didn't keep him from starting an instrumental band and perform right away. Ten years later he became a fulltime professional sax player after quitting his regular job.
