I'm a nephew of Frank and Freddie Assunto and a grandson of Papa Jac Assunto. I've performed with Papa Jac at several venues in California and Louisiana. I Started my professional music career at the age of thirteen, and have performed extensively in the United States and did a three-month gig in Japan. I've also performed for such organizations as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Cypress Gardens, Sea World, Church Street Station, Chicago Cubs Band, Banjo Buddies, and the Hot Frogs Jumping Jazz Band. Brought up submerged in the music of the Original Dukes my tuba playing style has been influenced by Rich Matteson, Dave Gannett, and Harvey Phillips.

Brad Felt

For over 35 years, Brad Felt (1956-2011) worked to advance the role of both the Tuba and Euphonium as front-line improvising instruments in the idiom of modern jazz. As a product of the fertile Oakland University jazz program if the mid '70's, Mr. Felt went on the receive two fellowships for composition and performance from the National Endowment For The Arts and a creative artist grant for composition from the Michigan Council For The Arts. In addition to working in the Detroit area, he led and co-led groups which have performed at such venues as The Hollywood Palace, Yoshi's At Jack London Square, and Pearl's of North Beach

Ralph Hepola

Ralph Hepola was born into a Scandinavian-American family in Saint Paul, Minnesota in the United States where his early eclectic musical interests led to piano study before starting on the tuba at age twelve. At seventeen, he was chosen to play before the British Royal Family in the Manitoba All-Province Band at Brandon University in Manitoba, Canada. While still in high school, Ralph began performing as an extra musician with the Minnesota Orchestra, which later included recordings, and tours to Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City. While still a teenager, Ralph won a position with The United States Army Band of Washington, D.C. At age twenty, he won a full scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music in the Young Artist Competition of the Minnesota Orchestra/WAMSO.

Ross Kratter

Born:

Originally from New York and now residing in Orlando, Ross Kratter performs on double bass, electric bass, fretless bass, synth bass, and tuba, and also works as a composer and arranger. A bandleader since age 10 and performing professionally since age 14, he has performed with such luminaries as Joshua Redman, Jay Siegel's Tokens, Bob Franceschini, Bob Reynolds, Alex Sipiagin, Gil Goldstein, Badal Roy, Dave Pietro, Randy Johnston, Victor Wooten, the Gabriel Alegria Afro-Peruvian Sextet, and many more. He was the bass player on the First National Tour of Bandstand, the 2018 US and Canada tour of A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage, and the 2016-2017 national tour of Fame the Musical. For six years he worked onboard cruise ships, and served as Musical Director and Bandleader for Cunard Line and P&O Cruises.
