Lyn Stanley

Born:

Discovered in 2010 by world class jazz pianist and legend, Paul Smith, Lyn Stanley entered singing with the world’s most famous accompanist, Paul Smith and his trio, four months after meeting her. Lyn was born in Tacoma Washington, the same birth town as singers Diane Schuur and Janis Paige. Her dad played piano by ear in the style of Erroll Garner, and Lyn was an attentive listener at an early age. She also had a grandfather who was an opera singer and an uncle who sang tenor roles in local theater groups in Long Beach, CA. Lyn Stanley entered the singing world through a side door—ballroom dancing

Musician

Jennifer Derrick Adams

Born:

For the love of it is my first studio album. As a little girl I would tell anyone who would listen, “when I grow up i’m going to be a singer”. Here I am grown up, having been for quite sometime now and this debut is the realization of this life-long dream. Over the years I would step into the Seattle Jazz scene, scratch the itch, then step back out to manage my day gig, be a mother and deal with the crushing self doubt that can accompany standing on a stage and singing in front of strangers. I exchanged my passion for pragmatism. Singing in private, showing up at open mic nights, attending workshops and it occurred to me that it was time to put it on record, for the love of the music; the love for my son, may everything he does, and you do, be for the love of it.

Musician

Kai Brant

Kai Brant is an American producer, songwriter, and jazz singer. As a young child, her creative heart was immersed in the poetry of life, and she would spend many hours of the day writing her deepest thoughts. As a teenager, she continued these poetic thoughts alongside guitar. Being very shy, she adopted a brand new name, Kai Brant, which gave her the courage to present her poetry and music publicly. Following a decade of writing music and fronting several bands as a singer-songwriter, she revisited her love of poetry and founded The Hattrix Project, an art collective featuring poets, dancers, and musicians based out of Long Beach, California
