Sinti Rhythm is an acoustic jazz quartet featuring Andy Moore on clarinet, Jack Soref and Robert Saunders on guitars, and Mike Ball on upright bass. Sinti Rhythm performs hot jazz and Gypsy swing music inspired by Django Reinhardt, Le Quintette du Hot Club de France, and the Sinti musicians of Europe. An infectious blend of European and American harmonies powered by string-based rhythms, this music includes classics from the Great American Songbook, compositions by Django, and selections from Sinti musicians like Bireli Lagrene, Stochelo Rosenberg, Dorado Schmitt, and Titi Winterstein. Sinti Rhythm's performances throughout Massachusetts and the Northeast have included a three-year residency at Atwood's Tavern in Cambridge, an appearance at the Brooklyn Djangology Festival, the Django Reinhardt Centennial at the French Library and Cultural Center of Boston, and shows at Toad, Cantab Lounge, The Stork Club, Sherborn Inn, and Novartis. The group has been interviewd on radio stations WMBR FM Cambridge, and WBUR Here and Now with Robin Young
