Thorpe Ziegler is Production Manager with Backtalk Unlimited, an independent record label with studios in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Thorpe, a native of Germany, joined Backtalk Unlimited in 2004. After completing formal education in Germany, he emigrated to the USA where he worked as an audio engineer and also pursued his musical interests as a jobbing musician. His keyboard and baritone saxophone solos are featured in several Backtalk Unlimited recordings that he produced. Thorpe is always pleased to share his practical knowledge of music and of technical aspects of musical production.

Josh Sinton, a native of Southern New Jersey, born in 1971, is a creative musician who
specializes in playing the baritone saxophone and bass clarinet. Growing up, his musical
inspirations were his father’s record collection, his brothers’ record collections and
watching his father play stride piano at parties. There wasn’t anyone else playing music so
to this day Sinton remains mystified that the music bug stuck at all.

Ted Hogarth

Ted Hogarth has a passion for all things music. He’s a composer, arranger, archivist, educator, performer, and leads several critically acclaimed ensembles. After attending high school at the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts, he completed undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and Northeastern Illinois University, and received a Master's Degree in Jazz Composition with Distinction from DePaul University.

In Chicago, his home for 20 years, he quickly established himself as the first-call baritone saxophonist and woodwind doubler for local and internationally touring jazz groups. Because of his skills as a woodwind doubler, Ted has played in many Broadway musicals, such as Jersey Boys and Dream Girls, including five years on the national tour of Jersey Boys and one year on the national tour of A Bronx Tale. In addition, Ted maintained a vibrant teaching studio where he taught saxophone, clarinet, theory, and jazz improvisation. Several of his former students are now fixtures in the Chicago and New York music communities. He has also taught private lessons at area middle and high schools and Columbia College Chicago.

Nick Moran was born in 1972 and grew up in and around Detroit, Michigan. After studying classical saxophone, flute and clarinet in college Nick settled in Chicago where he currently lives. He has performed with the Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey, Lawrence Welk, and Nelson Riddle orchestras as well as having performed with Lou Rawls, Jimmy Heath, James Moody, Snooky Young, Ray Anderson, Aretha Franklin, Phil Woods, Houston Pearson, Mel Torme, Billy Hart, The Temptations, Marvin Stamm, Wayne Newton, the O'Jays, Bob Berg and Dick Hyman. Nick has also performed with the Illinois Philharmonic, Kalamazoo Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Macomb Symphony and has been a member of over thirty pit orchestras

Dale Fielder

Dale Fielder is an American jazz saxophonist, composer and bandleader. He is a multi-instrumentalist who plays all four saxophones: soprano, alto, tenor and baritone with equal authority. He is known for his original compositions and choice of performing rare, obscure jazz classics as well as his varied group concepts and variety of presentations. Fielder has recorded over 20 CDs as a leader for various labels since he first appeared on the national jazz scene in 1993 with his first CD Free Flow.

He grew up in Midland, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh where he studied oboe, bassoon and tuba in the school system and clarinet, saxophone, composition and arranging privately with noted Pittsburgh area tenor saxophonist Phillip Celli. Fielder is also a product of the University of Pittsburgh Jazz Studies Program, where he studied as an ethnomusicology major under Dr. Nathan Davis. Fielder's debut jazz performance was as a member of the Joe Harris Quartet, former drummer of the Charlie Parker Quintet and Dizzy Gillespie Orchestra. After relocating to NYC, he was a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant in 1984, studying with trumpeter/composer Frank Gordon and completed his first large work, "The Aquarian "for alto saxophone and chamber orchestra. While in NYC, he also performed with a host of current jazz stars such as pianist/composer Geri Allen and trombonist Robin Eubanks among many others.
