Oytun Ersan All Stars ft. Eric Marienthal, Simon Phillips, Mitchel Forman and Mike Miller - Crowdfunding Campaign

Featuring the music of Oytun Ersan
Duration: 5:39

You may remember bass player Oytun Ersan from his latest release ''Fusiolicious'' featuring giants of Jazz Fusion including Dave Weckl, Eric Marienthal, Gary Husband and Dean Brown. After a pre-production phase of almost two years, Oytun is now getting ready to enter the studio to record his brand new and exciting Jazz-Funk Fusion album ''Fusiolicious 2'' together with some of the most influential Jazz/Funk Fusion artists of our time. But he can only do this with your help. Oytun Ersan has recently launched a Crowdfunding Campaign on Indiegogo to help fund his new album and music videos (live in studio). As part of this Crowdfunding Campaign, the band is offering exclusive rewards to their backers for a limited time. Please check out the campaign page for more information. Thank you all so much for your support and generosity. It really means a lot.

Quotes on Oytun Ersan and ''Fusiolicious''

"Versatile” doesn’t begin to describe the prodigiously talented bassist, composer and educator Oytun Ersan. He is a master composer in his own right, as evidenced by the top-flight funk and progressive jazz presented on his aptly named second album, Fusiolicious." —Bass Musician Magazine

"With his exciting new release, Oytun Ersan once again proves himself a jazz fusion force to be reckoned with." —Broadway World

"I have had a few albums over the years where the band has been led by a bassist, but I can honestly say that I have never heard anything quite like this before. If ever there was a masterclass in modern jazz fusion, and how it can work with funk, then this is it." —Frame Music

"This is an impressive jazz fusion album from Oytun Ersan, with solos from a variety of contributors that use a full language of possibilities rather than just concentrating on pentatonic scales. The ensemble work by this large and impressive cast is extremely tight and intense, and overall it’s a well-balanced programme of material, all composed by the leader." —Jazz Journal

"Bass prodigy Oytun Ersan is not merely a virtuosic bassist; he's also a highly imaginative and skilled composer as evidenced here by these seven first rate, frequently labyrinthine but always riveting tunes." —All About Jazz

"Turkish Cypriot bassist and composer Oytun Ersan has been refining his craft since his teen years. For Fusiolicious, he assembled an all-star aggregation of some of fusion’s top players to realize his original compositions."—Jazziz Magazine

"Oytun Ersan is a wild and wonderful leader with his bass—you know his arrangements are focusing on those driving pulses that have settled deep into the foundation of the music. Dave Weckl is a true soulmate." —The Vinyl Anachronist

"Turkish Cypriot bass virtuoso invited some of the finest musicians in the current jazz and fusion scene to perform on Fusiolicious. Jazz, rock and funk ingermingle with total ease." — Progressive Rock Central

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
