David Dvorin

Born:
Emmy-nominated composer, guitarist, author, and educator, David Dvorin has had his concert music performed in numerous new music and multimedia festivals around the United States and Europe. Versatile in both electronic and acoustic music mediums, he has written for and collaborated with such notable artists as Terry Riley, the California E.A.R. Unit and the Kronos Quartet.
David has released multiple commercial recordings that feature both his compositional work as well as his work as a performer, ranging from the intimate musical interactions of duos, trios and quartets to full-blown orchestrated electronic studio creations. His current projects Pocket and Flounder serve as vehicles for his unique and personal compositional style as well as his melodic and gritty electric guitar playing, combining his deep interest in mid-century electric blues and jazz along with contemporary art music practices. As a creative improviser who enjoys the act of on-the-spot composition, David’s playing can be heard both live and on the studio recordings of the Stinson Trio, as well as the electro-acoustic duo, Zap!. Past performance and recording projects have also included the acoustic chamber-jazz duo, Pull-String with Czech violinist Matej Seda.

Dan Loomis

A stalwart of the Brooklyn creative music scene, Dan Loomis is a daring leader, a sought-after sideman, and a composer whose unique view of the world and music has led to the creation of innovative and moving works.
Loomis has produced over a dozen recordings as leader and co-leader of collective ensembles including Spoke and The Wee Trio. In 2020, he released the project “Job’s Trials: A Jazz Song Cycle”, an original musical/theatrical presentation which earned glowing praise from the press. A song from “Job’s Trials” went on to become the title track on the album“Abundance”, earning Loomis a Juno Award with Turboprop. The Wee Trio and Spoke also released critically-acclaimed albums in recent years, including Spoke’s (r)anthems in 2014, and The Wee Trio’s recording Wee+3 in 2017. Loomis is also consistently in demand as a recording artist and sideman, most notably with The Joel Frahm Trio and Vadim Neselovskyi trio, which recently recorded with John Zorn on his Book of Beriah release Loomis has toured extensively around the world, all over NYC including many appearances at The Blue Note and Village Vanguard.

He has been recognized for his arranging and composing with four ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards and seven DownBeat Awards, as well as awards and commissions from the Contemporary Music Academy in Beijing, the Bundesjazzorchester of Germany, the West Point Army Jazz Knights, and many other organizations. Conrad’s music has been performed all over the world, including a 2017 concert by the Metropole Orkest in the Netherlands, a 2014 Carnegie Hall Premiere, and a performance at the US Presidential Inauguration in 2013. TIMOTHY LEE MILLER is an American composer, arranger, orchestrator, and publisher of contemporary concert music for chamber ensembles, orchestra, wind ensemble, and voice, as well as jazz music for big bands and small combos. He has also written for several small film and television projects. He has earned degrees from the University of Tennessee (BS Music Ed, 1984), the University of Miami (MM Media Writing and Production, 1990) and Vermont College of Fine Arts (MFA Composition, 2013). His principal composition teachers have been John Anthony Lennon, James Progris, Tamar Diesendruck, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Andy Jaffe, John Fitz Rogers, and Roger Zahab. He has received numerous commissions and awards, including several ASCAP awards. His works have been performed throughout the US, Europe, Russia, and China. His music is recorded on ERMMedia, Ansonica, Navona, and Phoenix Classics.

Guido Santoni

Guido Santoni started piano lessons when he was eight years old, and studied music at the G. Rossini Conservatoire in Pesaro, in Italy, during the ‘80s. He realised that jazz was his passion after listening to the sounds of electric jazz played by Miles Davis, Weather Report and the European influenced jazz culture of Pat Metheny, Jan Garbarek, Keith Jarrett, and Paul Bley.
After exploring electric Jazz, Soul, and Funk for a couple of years, beginning with 2000 he made the decision to focus on his personal musical vision and discover his own identity as a pianist in solo and trio sessions. His live concert at the Muse Theatre, Ancona, Italy on October 16th, 2005 led to his first self-produced album “Cinque Atti Del Tramonto Di Un Giorno”
