I am of Welsh Indian extraction and come from Wales.
My influences are Zappa, Stravinsky, Cannonball Adderley, Anton Webern, and James Brown. At various points in my career, I have worked and performed with, Kylie Minogue, Geri Halliwell, Jay Kay (Jamiroquai), Quest Love, The Roots, Valerie Etienne, Adam F, 23 Skidoo, Jeff Lorber, John Medeski, Jazz Jamaica, Roots Manuva, Rodney P, Carl McIntosh (Loose Ends) and many others. My first solo album Mad Jazz Guitar was an all out jazz metal guitar extravaganza! A tip of the hat let's say to some of the guitarists who have influenced me over the years, such as John Mclaughlin, Steve Vai, and Frank Gambale. For my second album It's Only Just A Garden, I worked with some of London's top session musicians to create a classic sound of funk, soul, and jazz
