Read "Blossom & Bee" reviewed by Dan Bilawsky

Vocalist Sara Gazarek was in a recording slumber for the past half decade, but 2012 seems to be the year that this sleeping jazz vocal beauty finally awakens. She eased her way back into the ears of her fans with Where Time Stands Still (Charleston Square Recordings, 2012), a collaboration that paired her with Germany's Triosence, ...

Kate McGarry: Beauty and the Bus

Read "Kate McGarry: Beauty and the Bus" reviewed by Dr. Judith Schlesinger

The BusI recently drove into the Big Apple to see singer Kate McGarry's band celebrate the release of their Girl Talk CD (Palmetto, 2012) at the Jazz Standard. Amy Cervini: Digging Me Digging You

Read "Digging Me Digging You" reviewed by William Carey

It's funny hearing such signature Blossom Dearie songs as “Dear John" and the Schoolhouse Rock classic “Figure Eight" without that oh-so-identifiable voice and delivery. Funny, but Amy Cervini is a talented enough vocalist that it isn't the slightest bit distracting to not have that adorably individual style and delivery that is unmistakably Blossom Dearie.
