I grew up traipsing through the rails of vintage clothing in my Mum's wardrobe, trying to squeeze myself into the tiny 1940's dresses. I loved listening to swing music and jazz and admired everything about the vintage period. I'd sing in the car at the top of my lungs and my mum would tell me to 'sing quieter'! It wasn't until my uncle heard me sing that he suggested I have singing lessons. I began to take my grades in singing and was fortunate to win the Arun young vocalist of the year at the age of 12.
