Funding 2023 and Beyond: Funding 2023 and Beyond
"Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity." Charles Mingus
The above Mingus quote really struck a chord as All About Jazz is a work of passion and creativity in a continuous search to present the rich universe of jazz in the most accessible way possible. Musician profiles, jazz clubs, show dates, festivals, album reviews, photos, polls, contests, news, free music, etc., over 100 years of jazz history—past, present, and in-the-making—packed into one friendly platform.

At times, the depth and breadth of All About Jazz can seem overwhelming, but our goal has always been to present AAJ in a simple, yet elegant way. My background is not in design and though my skills have improved over the years, we're bringing on a team of professionals to take our website to the next level.

Over the last 28 years, there were times when additional funding was needed to raise our standard of excellence and now happens to be one of those times. The financial commitment we plan to make over the next 18 months (which also includes upgrading our newsletter, a massive database clean-up effort, and an app) is significantly higher than what we currently budget for AAJ, so we're asking for your kind support to help us offset those costs.

This time, however, in addition to hiding ads and providing access to upcoming articles, we're adding value to what you get from your donation by including a year's subscription to Oh! Jazz (a $200 value!) when you donate $250 or more. One year of live and on-demand jazz shows of the highest production quality from exciting venues in cities including London, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sao Paulo, Madrid, and more. Plus interviews, masterclasses, and other features. You can learn more about Oh! Jazz here.

If you value our work at All About Jazz & Jazz Near You and are in a position to help us, please donate today.

Thank you,
Michael Ricci and your friends at All About Jazz
