Kalya Ramu

Kalya Ramu (1993) is a Classic Jazz vocalist and composer born and raised in Toronto, ON. Kalya began her performance career early, playing festivals and recording with a community big band at the age of 12. In 2010 she joined the Toronto All Star Big Band and toured with the group all over the GTA for 3 years. After high school Kalya was accepted into the Humber College Bachelor of Music Degree Program from which she graduated with honors in April 2015. That same year Kalya released her first solo EP, titled "Kalya Ramu sings BIG BAND", featuring the Toronto All Star Big Band. Since 2015 Kalya has been leading, writing and performing with various groups including Kal’s Hot Four, Blues-Rock band Angora, and The Bettys, among others
