Daniel Reyes Llinas

Daniel Reyes Llinas began his Musical career at the age of 10 teaching himself how to play the guitar. Later took formal musical training with guitarist Carlos Castilla. He attended the Classical Guitar Program at Andes University in Bogota, Colombia under Carlos Rocca Lynn & Jaime Arias Obregon.

Over the years has taken private instruction, masterclasses and workshops with Tony Geballe, Carlos Alomar, Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, Ricardo Cobo, Manuel Barrueco and Nik Bartsch among others. In 2001 He was selected among the ‘Youngest Performer Series” at Luis Angel Arango Music Hall in Bogotá

Mwendo Dawa

SUSANNA LINDEBORG'S MWENDO DAWA is always an adventure listening to. They were a bit of pioneers when the group was formed in the 70th when it came to combining expression of Jazz and traditional instruments together with the possibilities given by new instruments of the time. And they still are. Apart from most others fascinated by the same possibilities at the time. Musically MWENDO DAWA is now working with improvisation in serial technique with electro acoustical backgrounds but with a strong rythmical approach. The group is still now, 30 years later, as much pioneers as ever before

Susanna Lindeborg

Susanna Lindeborg, piano,keyboard, composer. After receiving a classical education she came during the 70th into contact with improvised jazz music, which became an important source of inspiration.


What you first think of together with Susanna Lindeborg is her virtuouso play on the piano mixed with electronic instruments, which has been known most of all through the group {{m: Mwendo Dawa = 19835}}, which she is the leader of together with saxophone player {{m: Ove Johansson = 17430}}. {{m: Mwendo Dawa = 19835}} has been succesfully touring in 25 countries in Europe, North and South America, China performing at festivals like Montreux, Northsea and Montreal. The last few years she has been regularly visiting USA and Canada with {{m: Mwendo Dawa = 19835}}. Susanna also writes a lot of the repertoire for the group.

Renato Diz

Renato Diz is a Portuguese pianist, composer and producer based in New York. Born in Porto, Portugal, Renato studied classical piano exclusively for 12 years, under the tutelage of Dr. Rui Pintão, at Fundação Conservatório Regional de Gaia. A chance encounter with jazz at a concert by pianist and composer Carlos Azevedo, introduced him to the world of improvised music and he decided to pursue his studies in this art. In 2004 he became a private student of Carlos Azevedo and in 2006 he was accepted in the leading jazz program on the Iberian Peninsula at the time, for a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Performance at ESMAE - IPP in Porto

"Pink Martini, Tom Waits, Amy Winehouse and Kate Bush walk into a ... festival!" Kate is a London based singer-songwriter with influences from jazz, Latin and world music. Kate traveled the world for many years with a backpack and guitar in tow and has performed in multiple genres including folk, gypsy, latin and jazz; all of which you can now hear in Kate's music. Gigs include: Green Note, BTL Jazz, Jazz Verse Jukebox at Hoxton Hall, Toulouse Lautrec, Spice of Life, Water Rats, The Boisdale (Finalist in the Battle of the Bands 2014) Ronnie Scott’s, Half Moon Putney, Pizza Express, The RARE Jazz Festival and The Brentwood Festival on the bill with UB40. Ashlae Blume

Ashlae Blume is an American musician, composer and producer. Born in Baltimore, Blume studied piano and trumpet from an early age, attending classes with Maynard Ferguson and others in the D.C. area. She took a break from music upon moving to upstate New York to study at Cornell University. Upon moving to New Orleans in 2008, Blume began performing regularly as a vocalist, accordionist, and pianist. She is currently a resident of New York City, splitting time between the two cities and touring both solo and with her band Laelume. Other projects include a solo electronic music project, and collaboration with various artists.
