About Me
I'm the Editor-in-Chief of All About Jazz Italia, host of Mondo Jazz on Radio Free Brooklyn and was once visited by Frank Zappa's ghost.... he was funny too.
After a stint as host of "Jazz with an Accent" on Boston's WHRB (95.3 FM), Ludovico Granvassu, with the support of All About Jazz's founder Michael Ricci, launched the Italian edition of All About Jazz in December 2000. Many years and thousands of edited articles later, he continues to enjoy being the Editor-in-Chief of the Italian articles and reviews of All About Jazz, coordinating the Italian staff, and carrying out the day-to-day management of the Italian content for allaboutjazz.com He is mostly driven by the deep belief that, even though jazz is a quintessential United Statesian art form, it has now become a universal language spoken all over the world with very diverse, and at times strong, accents, as a true lingua franca. And there lies its vitality and its capacity to endlessly evolve and surprise us, as it has done from the beginning.
