Waukesha BluesFest Offers Commemorative Poster Design Contest

Waukesha BluesFest, presented by the Waukesha Rotary Club is entering its 6th year of presenting an exciting line-up of national and area musicians along with a high class art show, delicious food and a wide selection of beverages, all held at Naga-Waukee Park on Highway 83 just north of I94 in Delafield. The event subtitled as “An American Music & Art Festival," takes place the second weekend of August, being held this year Friday and Saturday, August 10 & 11, 2012.

In conjunction with the event, the Waukesha Rotary Club is offering a contest for an artist to design a “Commemorative Poster" that will be printed and available for sale as the official poster of the 2012 Waukesha BluesFest. The contest is open to all interested artists. First place winner will receive a $100 prize and 4 weekend passes to the festival. Second place winner will receive 4 weekend passes and Third place will receive 2 weekend passes.

Contact Lynn Gaffey, Waukesha BluesFest Art Show Chairperson at 262-893-2411 with any questions on the contest. All entries must be received by the May 1, 2012 to be considered. Winners will be chosen and notified by June 1, 2012.
