Corniche Entertainment and Descanso Gardens are presenting a series of evening concerts at beautiful Descanso Gardens in La Canada/Flintridge this summer. The series, called Warm Nights, Cool Sounds, takes place at the Under the Oaks Theatre, and features Latin-flavored jazz from some of Southern California's finest Latin jazz artists.
Opening the series on Thursday, July 23rd is the Robert Kyle Brazilian Trio. On Thursday, July 30th the Louie Cruz Beltran Latin Jazz Ensemble appears, and on Thursday, August 6th, Mitchell Long brings in a group performing authentic Brazilian jazz and originals. The concerts are from 5:30 to 7:00.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring blankets and picnics (normally not allowed), and settle back to savor the music in this idyllic outdoor setting.
These concerts are free to the public, with admission to the gardens. General admission is $8. Seniors and students are $6. Ages 5 - 12 are $3, and children under 5 get in free.
