Universal Will Still Rock Across Asia

Music arm renews sales, distribution deal HONG KONG -- Universal Music has renewed its sales and distribution deal with Rock Records, one of Asia's top indie labels, and added the Chinese mainland to its geographical reach.

It extends a deal signed in 2003, which includes sales and distribution for all back catalogue, new releases and joint-venture initiatives (such as compilation albums) for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. Rock Records was founded in 1994 and is strong in the mandarin-language market, with acts including Super Band, Gary Chaw, Genie Chuo, A-Yu, MC Hot Dog and Wa Kin.
