The micro-blogging site logged a 343 percent growth over the last year, according to a Thursday report from Nielsen Online. Twitter had about 2.4 million unique visitors in September 2008, up from 533,000 in September 2007.

Facebook, on the other hand, increased by about 116 percent, from 18 million unique hits to 39 million. LinkedIn also jumped 193 percent to log about 12 million unique visitors for the month of September.
