Newfangled search tool Twine is launching out of beta today. The service specializes in building customized vertical search silos that aggreg...yikes. Nevermind, I won't explain it that way. It's more interesting than its explanation, rest assured.
Basically, Twine lets you track your interests. If you want to find out everything about Britney Spears (and who doesn't?), enter “Britney Spears" into Twine and you'll get a collection of curated, relevant search results that have been bookmarked by other Twine users. This is an “Interest Feed." You can subscribe to it and set up e-mail alerts, or RSS or Friendfeed updates, so you always have the best Britney stuff at hand.
Twine will also offer you related terms, tags, people, and even organizations, and you can refine your Britney search by clicking on them. Related organizations in Britney's case include CBS, Elizabeth Arden, Google, Jive Records, Last.fm, and The New Mickey Mouse Club.
