Sonicraft A2DX Lab Offers Ultimate Quality Transfers of Yesterday's Tapes into Today's Digital World

If your original music and performances are on audio tapes of any format, just send or bring them to Sonicraft A2DX Transfer Lab and our highly qualified engineers will do everything it takes to make the ultimate transfer into the world of digital mixing, mastering and preservation.

Sonicraft technicians have fully restored and enhanced a comprehensive selection of multitrack tape machines with precision parts, audiophile-grade components, and breakthrough tape head technology. You'll hear more quality in your recordings -- cleaner, clearer and more detailed -- than previously possible.

Ron Jefferson, noted jazz musician and bandleader brought the original analog multitrack master tapes of his early 80's jazz ensemble to Sonicraft. Speaking about the importance of this recording session, Ron said, “Some of these wonderful musicians have left us. I believe this is the last recording Sonny Stitt ever made." Upon listening to his finished transfers, he enthusiastically remarked, “It sounds wonderful! I love the clarity! It's like being back in the room with the musicians. I heard things on those tapes I've never heard before."

Sonicraft's engineers have access to the world's finest equipment and restoration tools, permanently installed on the premises. We routinely restore problem tapes so that they play like new and we are ready to recognize and resolve any tape issues: sticky tape, faulty splices, lack of documentation, etc. Each tape is handled with gentle care and full awareness of the irreplaceable value of its contents.

There's almost no audio tape format we can't transfer. Even if your tapes were made in Europe, we have the experience and resources to handle the rare equalization curves, tape hubs, noise reduction and track formats found almost exclusively in European studios.

Contact Sonicraft with the size, scope and time frame of your project and we'll give you the ultimate transfer -- at a rate you can live with. For details, technical information and a listing of tape formats and noise reduction systems supported.
