Music intelligence firm The Echo Nest has raised $7 million in venture financing. The lead financier is Matrix Partners, as well as, their existing investor Commonwealth Capitol. The company intends to use these additional funds to “support growth of its music intelligence platform" and “expand its team." This means that Mr. Eliot Van Buskirk, former Wired editor, will be in safe hands in his new position.
