Call for Entries: Filmmakers and Bands
Temecula, Calif. (May 4, 2006) - Celebrating 12 years of presenting excellence in film and music, the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival (TVIFF) announces that they are now accepting entries for the 2006 festival, slated for September 13-17 at The Movie Experience 10 at Tower Plaza in downtown Temecula.
Highlighting U.S. and Foreign films in five categories (Features, Shorts, Documentaries, Animation and Student Films) the film competition welcomes filmmakers in all genres. In order to be eligible, a film entry must have been completed in 2004, 2005, or 2006 and submitted on one-half inch VHS NTSC Videocassette or DVD.
Emerging, up-and-coming unsigned performing artists and bands in the genres of rock, jazz, pop, hip hop, R & B, Latin, Country, Folk, and World Music will also have a stage to showcase their music vision and artistic wizardry as part of the Music Festival.
Filmmakers and musicians must submit their entries by July 15, 2006 for consideration. Film submissions should be made at www.withoutabox.com. Music submissions should be made at www.sonicbids.com. Applications can be downloaded at www.tviff.com.
Keeping with tradition, the festival's social calendar starts with Opening Night Festivities on Wednesday, September 13, followed by daily and nightly filmmaker/musician receptions, industry workshops, Lifetime and Career Achievement Awards black tie gala, Sunday morning hot air balloon ride, Best of Fest special screening presentations, and much more.
The 12th Annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival is presented by Cinema Entertainment Alliance, a non-profit arts and education organization dedicated to celebrating world cinema and music.
