As everyone knows, the most important thing for building a healthy and long-lasting relationship is having shared taste in music.
Well, maybe it's not the most important thing, but it's certainly a good starting point.
That is precisely the thinking behind Tastebuds.fm, a recently launched website that matched single people based on their musical taste.
By logging into Tastebuds.fm using your last.fm user name--or simply entering a few of your favorite artists if you don't have a last.fm account--you'll be connected with single people in your area who share your musical preferences.
Founded by members of the London-based instrumental band Years of Rice and Salt, Tastebuds.fm has an artist friendly vibe and could just as easily lead to musical relationships as it could romantic ones.
As admitted in the site FAQ's, Tastebuds isn't yet able to find matches to all musical tastes in all parts of the world. Give them time, though. The site only recently launched. It's definitely a cool idea and if it takes off could help people build some great relationships.
So, go ahead, sign up! Why not? Even if all the people you meet on Tastebuds turn out to be creepy, it's comforting to know that at least they won't offend you with their terrible taste in music.
