Since Subjekt's launching in early 2009, they have been on the fast track to garnering a solid reputation of quality headphones and innovative designs. It didn't take long before companies took notice, and Subjekt was snatched up for collaborations by massive teen retailer Aeropostale and the controversial brand Rogue Status. Appealing to a broad audience, Subjekt was given the creative flexibility to design and manufacture their already popular T.N.T headphones to be made specifically for their stores and customers. For Aeropostale, this meant a clean, fresh style for their rapidly expanding audience. As for Rogue Status and the DTA Posse, Subjekt gave the headphones a brazen and edgy perspective.

The buyers of Aeropostale, a mall-based, specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, approached Subjekt in March 2011 with the idea to join forces for a collaboration. Aeropostale has been providing high-quality merchandise to its audience and partnering with Subjekt was their first attempt in the electronics industry. “Our team was excited about the opportunity to work with such a respected brand," said Subjekt CEO Ben Sedaghat. “We quickly came up with a design and package concept within 72 hours and sent it over right away." Aeropostale was sold. Subjekt became the first outside company that Aeropostale has co-branded with and has since been placed in its top volume doors. Subjekt has joined the ranks with Aeropostale's other mega-partnerships, including hit music groups Fall Out Boy and The Black Eyed Peas, ABC Family's popular show Greek and, most recently, Z100's Jingle Ball in NYC.

Sedaghat met the duo behind Rogue Status at Magic Trade Show in Vegas earlier this summer and approached them with the idea to collaborate. Although hesitant at first, after testing out products and ideas, the team at Rogue Status was impressed and a partnership began. Rogue Status, a clothing company created by designers Jasper Watts and Johan Esbensen, are Subjekt's neighbors in Los Angeles. They are backed by their DTA Posse— which consists of professional and amateur boarders—and celebrity investors Travis Barker, Rob Dyrdek, and Scott Emmer. The anticipation behind the Rogue Status headphones has caused much hype, selling an astounding 40% of merchandise before the products were even in stores. Both sides of the joint venture expect the sales to keep climbing.

Aeropostale and Subjekt products can be purchased at designated Aeropostale retailers and online at www.aeropostale.com. DTA and Subjekt are available online at Buy.com, Amazon.com, MLTD.com, Karmaloop.com and will be hitting shelves at select Urban and Skate Shops throughout the US this holiday season. All other Subjekt merchandise can be purchased at subjekt.com.
