SIGNAL to NOISE #19 is now available. Our fall 2000 issue features Jason Gross' exclusive interview with Cecil Taylor (with original photos by Michael Galinsky), Jesse Jarnow's overview of the burgeoning “trance-fusion" movement (featuring the Disco Biscuits, Lake Trout and Sound Tribe Sector 9), and Larissa Gray's road journal documenting German doublebassist Peter Koawld's springtime visit to New Orleans, in addition to extensive reviews of all the latest new-music releases.

SIGNAL to NOISE is the quarterly journal of improvised & experimental music, with an emphasis on the converging sounds of free jazz, improvised rock and electro-acoustic music. The new STN is 60pp with glossy full-color cover, sold in all Tower Records and at selected local retailers including Boston's Newbury Comics and NYC's Other Music and the Downtown Music Gallery. STN is also available by mail order subscription ($15/4 quarterly issues to: SIGNAL to NOISE, 416 Pine Street, Burlington VT 05401)
