The band features founder Mike Elizondo on bass, who produced Rilo Kiley and Maroon 5, as well as co-writing 50 Cent's hit, In Da Club." Keyboardist Jeff Babko and guiarist Toshi Yanagi appear nightly on ABC-TV's Jimmy Kimmel Live" show, as well as being busy recording session musicians. Trumpeter John Daversa leads his own contemporary big band in Los Angeles. Rounding out Shogun Warrior is drummer Toss Panos, who cut his teeth with Steve Vai and now tours with blues troubadour Robben Ford. This eclectic band of old friends consistently brings a blend of R&B, funk, Bitches Brew inspired fusion, and rock to the Potato, incorporating material from Queen to Miles, from Traffic even to Britney Spears.
