Including Headline Show at Legendary Hollywood Bowl

Send One Your Love, the new CD from sax icon Boney James (released on Concord Records on February 3, 2009) has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart for the fifth week in a row with no slowdown in sight.

Showing Jamess crossover appeal, the record also debuted at #21 on the Billboard R&B Chart and entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #76. The album is being powered by 2 current singles. Stop, Look, Listen has spent 3 weeks at #1 on the Smooth AC Chart and Dont Let Me Be Lonely Tonight (introducing Quinn) debuted among the Most Added at Urban AC this week.

Send One Your Love is the bestselling, Grammy nominated sax mans 12th C.D. It features a collection of romantic and sensuous songs by Stevie Wonder (the title track), The Stylistics (Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart), Barry White (Im Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby), John Klemmer (Touch) and a stunning cover of James Taylors Dont Let Me Be Lonely Tonight. On this track, Boney introduces the world to Quinn. This new R&B vocalist has performed background vocals for artists such as Kelly Price and K-Ci & JoJo and was working as an Atlanta-based session singer when discovered by James. Send One Your Love also showcases four new James compositions, highlighted by the evocative tune City Light, co-written by keyboardist Tim Carmon, (known for his work with Eric Clapton).

Of his new CD Send One Your Love Boney says, I wanted this to be an album, not just a collection of songs. I wanted to tell a romantic story from the beginning to the end. No doubt his legions of fans will agree hes succeeded and James will be out on the road supporting Send One Your Love throughout 2009. Of his live show The Philadelphia Tribune said “To put it mildly, Boney James... was THE BOMB. An unbelievable technician who knows how to work a crowd... A tough act to follow.

According to Boney, “The communal experience of playing live - that's why I became a musician in the first place. It's exciting and liberating. It never gets old for me."
