THEY COME NO BETTER THAN THIS LADY

Emmylou Harris is no diva. She doesn't swoop and show off with her singing, finding her power and impact through unique phrasing and an unerring ability to tap into rich emotional wells. This clip comes from just weeks ago in Austin. The lady still seems to have plenty of steam in her engine.

We conclude our birthday nod to Emmylou Harris with a pair of killers from a famous appearance on the great British television series Old Grey Whistle Test from 1977.
