RockMelt is like Google Chrome with Facebook and other social features bundled in. Reviews have called it everything from completely necessary to Chrome with extensions. Though at times, a platform like this would be great to have, it feels like nothing would get done. It's more for power social users than for those that simply want to browse the web. As feedback pours in, they'll be able to fine tune the short-comings and rethink the web browser even more. Some have said they are perfectly fine with not sharing their web experience with everyone they know and would gladly go without friends sharing it with them. Still, many are probably thrilled with their focus on sharing, friends, news, and search. Take a look:
