The 3B's is Ted Rosenthal's 7th CD release. It features solo renditions of the music of Bud Powell, Bill Evans and his strikingly original improvisations on Beethoven themes.

The 3B's showcases Rosenthal on a Steinway concert grand. Of special interest are Rosenthal's improvisatory takes on three Beethoven pieces; two movements from the well known “Pathetique" Sonata, and an extraordinary improvisation on one of Beethoven's final piano masterworks, the last movement of his sonata opus 109. Rosenthal also performs music by, and associated with, two of his jazz piano heroes, Bud Powell and Bill Evans. Tunes such as Tempus Fugit, Waltz for Debby, I Loves You Porgy, and Tea for Two, get striking and personal treatments from Rosenthal who brings a free spirited virtuosity, originality and variety to all of the music he plays.
