NNORDY Blends Jazz, Fusion And Soul On Debut Album

NNORDY's self-titled debut is ten tracks of jazz, fusion and soul, built on complex polyrhythms under simple, catchy melodies, played fully live. The album was born out of a torn Achilles tendon: a 2021 basketball injury that forced Ronny into a year of immobility and pulled him toward writing music of his own for the first time. It was recorded live with a group of musicians who reflect the mosaic of Montreal itself, with roots in Haiti, South Korea, the Philippines, Ghana and Quebec.

The album features Anomalie, Joanna Majoko, Rémi Cormier, SassyJanne and Darkus Millon , and includes a reimagined cover of Bobby Caldwell's “What You Won't Do (For Love)." NNORDY marks the debut full-length release for Lovely Lovely Sounds, following the label's inaugural double single “The One" / “Wrong Turn" in June 2026.

NNORDY is the musical project of Ronny Desinor, Haitian-Canadian drummer and composer based in Montreal. Growing up with gospel as his first musical language, Ronny developed a deep sense of groove, feel and creativity, with a mastery of polyrhythm that carried him through two decades of collaborations and performances across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, alongside artists including Anomalie, GEMINICRAB and Kallitechnis. With NNORDY, he steps into the composer's role for the first time under his own name.
