Phillip 'Doc' Martin Returns to Catalina Island Jazztraxx Festival

Jamaican-American saxophonist Phillip “Doc" Martin is among 40 Smooth Jazz stars set to shine at the 24th Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival over 3 weekends beginning September 30 in the spectacular Avalon Casino Ballroom (Looking out to Sea) and unplugged under the nighttime skies at the Wrigley's Ranch on exquisite California island.

The dentistry grad and saxophonist, with a new CD Realization, makes his third appearance at JazzTraxx on Saturday, October 2 when he lines up with Swiss keyboardist Alex Bugnon, Latin Guitarist Johannes Linstead and saxophonist Euge Groove in the historic Avalon Ballroom.

Created and produced by broadcaster Art Good, Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival, the premier contemporary jazz festival on the west coast, brings together Eric Darius, Warren Hill, Mindi Abair, Earl Klugh, Jazz in Pink, Steve Oliver, David Benoit, Tim Weisberg, Gerald Albright, Peter White, and Fourplay over 3 weekends, Sept 30—Oct 3, Oct 7-10, Oct 14 -17.
