New School Jazz Program Announces "Jazz Presents" Series

The Jazz Program announces its new concert series, “Jazz Presents," featuring New School Jazz Program faculty members and outstanding Jazz Program students and alumni, joined by renowned guest artists. The fall 2003 “Jazz Presents" series features saxophonist George Garzone with Frank Tiberi, Bob DeBoo, and Adam Manness on Thursday, October 16th; and bassist Andy McKee with Seamus Blake, John Riley, and Richard Cruz on Wednesday, December 10th. A special feature of the fall series is a screening of the award-winning documentary, “Keeping Time: The Life, Music and Photographs of Milt Hinton" on Wednesday, November 12, 2003. All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:15 p.m. A Q & A session with the artists will follow each performance. Events take place at Tishman Auditorium, 66 West 12th Street, NYC. Don't miss a great series!

All holders of a valid NSU ID are admitted for free. Also, admission is free to children and young people grades K-12. Tickets for the general public are $10 per show or $30 for the series. Tickets may be purchased at the New School Box Office, located in the lobby of 66 West 12th Street. (Box office hours are Monday through Thursday, 1:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.) Tickets may also be charged by call 212-229-5488.
