"At First Glance" is the debut album of saxophonist Lukas Hein, accompanied by a Northern Californian rhythm section. It was recorded at a local restaurant (on its day off), with a single mic set up in the middle of the room. The quartet played straight through the tunes pretty much as if it was a live performance. What the recording therefore lacks in polish is ostensibly made up for in authenticity.
