Source:

View read count
Barry Harris' solo over the changes to Tadd Dameron's Good Bait on Warne Marsh's 1986 quartet recording Back Home, is the basis for the series of improvisation drills introduced in this lesson. Six drills are derived from his use of approach patterns in the solo and presented over Rhythm Changes. Print and play the drills to help you assimilate these patterns into your own melodic vocabulary. The third installment in the Improv Drill series of lessons, this lesson builds on the fundamentals outlined in the first two lessons, Improv Drill: Chord Tones and Improv Drill: Approach Patterns Part 1.
