Major Labels Explore Competing Music Video Site

Dissatisfied with the lack of revenue they are getting at YouTube and elsewhere, the four major label groups are exploring the launch of their joint video music site.

“Plans under discussion include a partnership with Hulu, the online television and film joint venture between News Corp and NBC Universal; the creation of a premium service on YouTube, Google's video-sharing site; or a standalone venture between some or all of the four largest recorded music groups," reports the Financial Times.

Does another video site? It's doubtful. But the major's attitude appears to to be “If you can't beat them, we better compete with them."
