NEWPORT, RI: Special discount tickets for the 2013 Newport Jazz Festival presented by Natixis Global Asset Management are available for a limited time only at the Newport Visitors Center, 23 Americas Cup Avenue. Newport Festivals Foundation is offering General Admission two-day passes for the discount price of $110.00 and single-day Adult General Admission tickets for $60.00.
The discount tickets are only available for concerts at Fort Adams State Park in person at the Newport Visitors Center. Visit gonewport.com for office hours and information.
In addition, Newport Festivals Foundation is offering $20.00 student discount tickets at the Newport Visitors Center and on-line. Patrons with $20.00 discount tickets will be asked to present a valid student ID along with their ticket at the gate. If valid student ID is not presented, the patron will be directed to the Box Office to pay the difference for a regularly-priced ticket.
Artists featured at the 2013 Newport Jazz Festival presented by Natixis Global Asset Management, which takes place August 2 – 4 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino and Fort Adams State Park, include Wayne Shorter with special guest Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Natalie Cole, Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band, Eddie Palmieri, Esperanza Spalding, Joshua Redman, Terence Blanchard, Robert Glasper Experiment, Hiromi, Gregory Porter, Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Dee Alexander and many more.
