Born into a family of professional musicians in Rio de Janeiro, Rose Max got an early start in her musical education. Arriving in the U.S. in 1993, she continues an extensive performance schedule to this day. She has won the International Brazilian Press Award for Best Female Brazilian Singer five times (1997, 98, 2001, 05 and 06). Ms. Max has several CDs available, her latest being The Singers of Brazil, a tribute to legendary Brazilian vocalists. This performance is also available as a DVD. Her husband, Ramatis, is recognized as one of the finest Brazilian guitarists in the U.S. He, too, is a recipient of the Brazilian Press Award (2001). For more information, visit RoseMax.Com.

Our show is kindly co-sponsored by Pollo Tropical and Friends of WLRN.
