Led Zep's New Singer?

Led Zeppelin Without Robert Plant?

There's been no shortage of Led Zeppelin gossip this year. Following the band's one-off reunion in London last December (read the review here) there's been a steady stream of touring buzz and recording dreams, all of which seem to consistently be thwarted by Robert Plant. With the remaining core of Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, along with original drummer John Bonham's son, Jason Bonham, eager to get the Led out, this problem may have found a resolution. According to an article on Billboard.com, the band may have found a replacement singer in Myles Kennedy, who is best known for his work with Alter Bridge.



Kennedy has rehearsed with the willing members of Zep, and according to Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, the band is “saying [to Robert], 'We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go. Here's a gazillion dollars on the table. If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid. And he can sing the shit out of Zeppelin.' And they're gonna hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, 'Okay,' and step in before having the lead singer of Alter Bridge out with John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham."



This has led to speculation about a new band name that would feature Kennedy as the frontman, but none of this has been confirmed in any capacity. Stay tuned as we'll be sure to report back on any potential Led Zeppelin (or whatever you want to call it) news.
