Composer/reedman Mike Anklewicz blends the modal music of Klezmer (Eastern-European Jewish Dance music) with rock, jazz, funk, Balkan, Middle-Eastern and African rhythms to create a fresh new sound.
Filling out the band is Ali Berkok on piano, Jaro Dabrowski on guitars, oud and percussion, David MacDougall on drums and percussion, Ben Plotnick on violin and viola, and Michael Smith on bass. Also joining KlezFactor are Limore Twena on vocals, and Erika Nielsen on cello.
Klezmachine is now available on CD Baby and iTunes for digital download, and will be available on CD Baby in CD format by mid-September.
