Minneapolis Musician J.P. DeLaire offers moving music video to celebrate Barack Obama's Inauguration!

After several months of witnessing some of the music videos and messages that are currently being aired on TV and across the Internet by various artists, I was inspired to address my support for Obama's candidacy in a more serious tone.
J.P. Delaire

“In My Life" touches on multiple world events that have affected our communities across the globe, and to our detriment here in the US, under the current Leadership. My belief is that Obama is the Leader who inspires and is able to make change. Obama's ability to communicate and unite is powerful. He is innovative, humble, charismatic, believable, genuine and extremely soulful. His ability to connect to a newer generation of people is what is appealing to me. We are a nation that is thirsty for truth and spirit behind what is being presented to us, and I believe that Obama is the person that is able to deliver.

I wrote, “In My Life" to get people to think and feel..."Better days are ahead"! “In My Life" is featured on J.P. DeLaire's new cd In My Life.

Hailing from the First Fa mily of Minneapolis Music, The Petersons, and having worked with Prince, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Alexander O'Neal, J.P. DeLaire (Jason Peterson DeLaire) is ready to carry the Twin Cities next generation's musical torch with his new CD In My Life. The multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer's new release was mixed and mastered by super sound engineer Steve Hodge (Janet Jackson, Flyte Time Productions). It is characterized by soulful vocals, R&B grooves, a touch of jazz, and some of that original Minneapolis Sound funk.

Radio music programmers have already begun heavily playing cuts from In My Life<.I>. Listeners will love the hard-hitting message of “The Prodigal Son". Mico Wave lends Roger Troutman inspired “Talk Box" assistance on DeLaires slow groove “I Need Your Love". “Never Enough" is a sexy ballad reminiscent of Mint Condition, and J.P. delivers the sinister funk on “Gotta Keep The Funk Alive". Its a tribute to the Funk Pioneers with references to The Time, Prince, Rick James, Zapp, and Earth, Wind and Fire. J.P. says “I think that there are many fans of the Minneapolis Sound who are hungry for something new to come out of the Minneapolis scene. Well, Here It Is!!!!"
