Michelle Walker will be making a rare appearance in New York City on Tuesday January 21, 2003 at Kavehaz. The showcase performance will be from 9:00pm to 10:00pm and will feature Dave Cosby on Guitar. This versitile singer has been internationally praised by music critics for breathing new life into the jazz vocal scene.

Washington, DC jazz vocalist Michelle Walker is fast becoming one of the most talked about singers in critical jazz circles. Dave Nathan, music critic for AllAboutJazz.com says, “Walker possesses a set of strong vocal chords which she uses with remarkable restraint...it's obvious that she has the physical equipment to belt out everything she sings...using her vocal powers like a small hand gun rather than as a howitzer. She also demonstrates an extraordinary degree of musicality as she adds subtle alterations to melody lines, going up when one expects her to go down and other ear catching devices."

Michelle's Debut CD release “Slow Down" has been nominated for Best Independent Jazz Vocal Recording for 2002. You can find out more information about Michelle on her official website: wwww.michellewalker.net Listen and download song clips from www.mp3.com/michelle_walker/

Copies of “Slow Down" can be purchased at wwww.cdbaby.com or wwww.amazon.com.
