Canadian soprano saxophonist, flautist and bandleader Jane Bunnett closes Summer at the CFA before heading to Jazz at Lincoln Center in September!

Bunnett earned her reputation as a talented and groundbreaking innovator by mixing Jazz with Afro-Cuban rhythms and sounds. Her sextet, Spirits of Havana, includes some of the best young talent from Cuba now living in the US or Canada. In addition, she has made frequent musical pilgrimages to Cuba since the early 1980's, received two Grammy nominations for Best Latin Jazz CD (Cuban Odyssey, 2003; Alma de Santiago, 2002) and won Canada's Juno Award. The Boston Globe calls her “an artist of rare talent."
